Education is as important to me as performing.

Ian is a professional educator with a Masters degree in music education. Since 2018 Ian has:

Taught World Music Drumming to ages 4-64 at the University of New Mexico Music Prep School

Taught Concert Band, Jazz Band, World Music Drumming and Guitar for Albuquerque Public Schools

Been a Guest Lecturer at The University of New Mexico

Presented their Masters research at Maryland Music Educator’s Conference (March 2025)

Been a guest clinician for numerous APS middle schools

Taught Private Lessons
